As an eLearning instructional designer and developer, I’m always looking for free or inexpensive stock images to use in my eLearning projects. Here are my top 5 picks for free stock images. Some focus on photographs and others on vector images or both.

  1. Pixabay.com : I use this site a lot because it has photographs and vector images and does not require attribution.
  2. Pexels.com : This website has amazing, high-quality photographs and does not require attribution.
  3. Unsplash.com : This site also has beautiful, high-resolution photographs. Attribution is encouraged but not required.
  4. StockSnap.io : This website has awesome, high-quality photographs and a very cool search feature, which makes it easy to find the photographs you need.
  5. Reshot.com : A  lot of the photographs overlap with sites like Pixabay, Pexels and Unsplash but this site appears to have unique photographs not available on other sites and does not require attribution,

I will update this list as I find more options.
